DSM202 Options -
Prestore
The Prestore option allows the user to save the current Waveform Parameters as well as Waveform Generation Mode to the DSM202 board. These settings will be saved to the DSM202
board and will be available to the user following a power cycle.
The purpose of this option is to allow the user to generate the desired waveform
without needing the DSM202 board to be connected to a PC via USB.
Note: This is an add-on option which must be selected and purchased when ordering
the DSM202 board.
If this add-on option is not selected at the time of ordering,
the 'Prestore' function in the File menu will be grayed
out and unavailable for use.
Using the Prestore option
First select the Waveform Generation Mode ( if Triggered Burst Mode is selected, the user must provide an external pulse signal via the 'TRIG' SMA connector on the DSM202 board ). Next, define the Waveform Parameters. Once the mode and parameters have been set, go to the menu bar and click File, then click Prestore. This will save the current Waveform Generation settings to the DSM202 board. The saved waveform will be generated by the DSM202 board by default following a power cycle.
Verifying the Prestored waveform
Once the waveform has been saved to the DSM202 board using the above method, power down the board by unplugging the power adapter from the power jack. Reconnect the power adapter to the board and the saved waveform should be displayed momentarily. The DSM202 board does not need to be connected to a PC via USB in order for the waveform to be displayed. The saved waveform will be diplayed by default on subsequent power cycles until it is overwritten.
To overwrite the saved waveform, follow the above method to save a new waveform to the DSM202 board.
Usage Notes
If the Prestore option was selected during the ordering process and the 'Prestore' function in the File menu remains grayed out, please contact us immediately.
